We arrived at 6:30pm on Friday night and waited 12 hrs until they passed out tickets at 7am on Saturday morning. They passed out two sets of tickets - one for rehearsal one for the live taping. Each ticket has a number on it - we got numbers 11 and 12 for live taping. Then we had to go back at 10:45pm to see if we could even get in - and WE DID! Me and Austin were split up, but we both had amazing seats - literally front and center of the balcony sections, in the area reserved for Jim's family and friends .. so neat to meet some friends of Jim's .. Austin sat right by
Noah Emmerich (from the Truman Show).
As for Friday night - we were very thankful it didn't snow or rain - the wind wasn't even that bad! But it was super cold. I was in a sleeping bag the whole night. We made several McDonald runs to warm up and refuel on food and hot chocolate/coffee. Looking back, I really don't know how we did it. It was pretty miserable (see iphone pics below - little blurry). BUT after last night - I am so glad we did. Absolutely no regrets. I can see how it can be addicting to go every week - such a rush!
